The Club was formed with the intention of maintaining a charitable effort, contributing where possible to worthy causes in Hong Kong or Macau, or, on occasion, elsewhere. Every two years, at the Annual General Meeting, a charitable cause will be proposed by the General Committee to the general membership, adoption of which requires a two thirds majority by ballot.
Our current chosen charities are Love21 Foundation and Run Hong Kong.
It is an accepted principal that a percentage (set from time to time by the General Committee) of the Membership fee payable each year will be allocated to the chosen cause, and subsequently augmented by a combination of Member fines*, personal contributions and especial fundraising events held during the year.
*To include lateness, incorrect dress code etc.!
